Ahh, January. Is there a better time of the year for us film-geeks? Everywhere you look, Oscar contenders, star-studded movies and stellar performances. The latest foray for Squibbles and myself was In the Bedroom, a drama about a family in rural Maine.

Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
I’m always a sucker for the latest CGI film, so the second movie of our New Year’s triple-header (along with Beauty and the Beast IMAX and, of course, the phenomenal Lord of the Rings) was Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius.
Beauty and the Beast IMAX
To kick off 2002, Squibbles and I headed off to our local IMAX theatre to see the new digitally enhanced (and slightly expanded) version of Beauty and the Beast. We also brought along friend, and regular movie companion Yvette, who, I should note, was horrified that I had never seen Beauty and the Beast.
